Historic Brandywine Valley
The Brandywine Valley takes its name from the Brandywine River which flows from Pennsylvania into Delaware. It's rich history goes back to before the Revolutionary War--it's where British General Howe's forces defeated U.S. General Washington and the young Marquis de Lafayette, forcing Washington into Valley Forge. The beauty of the Brandywine has attracted many artists including Andrew Wyeth and Jamie Wyeth, among many others. The Brandywine is a special place!
